Consultation and Examination
Initial Consultation
A dental hygienist will first ask about your condition. Please tell us about your symptoms, treatment preferences, and any concerns. We listen carefully and work with you to consider the most suitable treatment plan. Even small concerns are welcome. If you have had anxiety during dental treatment in the past, please let us know. We aim to provide care at a pace that is comfortable for each patient.
Oral Examination
Next, we carefully examine the condition of your mouth. We mainly check the following:
- Whether cavities are present and how far they have progressed.
- Periodontal examination, including gum condition and tartar buildup.
- Tooth alignment and bite.
- Jaw joint condition.
- Intraoral photographs, if needed.
- Saliva testing, if needed.
We perform examinations carefully to minimize discomfort. If you feel discomfort or anxiety during the examination, please tell us at any time.
X-Rays and CT Imaging
For accurate diagnosis, we may take X-rays or CT scans as needed. These images help us understand the inside of teeth, bone condition, nerve position, and other details that cannot be seen visually. Our clinic uses modern digital X-ray equipment, which greatly reduces radiation exposure compared with conventional X-rays. When more precise diagnosis is required, we also use dental CT for detailed information. For more about dental CT, please see this page.
If you are pregnant or concerned about radiographic imaging, please tell us in advance. We will respond appropriately based on your situation.
